Eggplant Kobachi by Yamane Seigan

A sculptural nasu (eggplant)-shaped kobachi by renowned Hagi potter Yamane Seigan, glazed in his signature "Seigan Blue" — a deep indigo developed from years of research into Ao-Hagi glazes. The pinched rim and small leaf accent nod to the eggplant's calyx, while the reddish Hagi clay peeks through at the unglazed foot. As with all Hagi ware, the surface will develop a soft patina with use.

Perfect for tsukemono, edamame, a small vegetable side, or condiments alongside sashimi.
